Hospitality Book Publishing:
1) Full Service - Options - Creative, editorial and Publishing:
Our full three-step process: creative, editorial and publishing services, includes both a digital version and a printed edition.
We create your book with you, guide you and partner with you through the process from beginning through to publication and perform editorial services along the way. We then publish exclusively to Apple Books and for printed editions, produce the ready-to-print file for the printer for hard or soft cover editions. (If you would like to publish your works to other platforms, a $750 fee will be added for the file formatted to PDF for you.)
Apple provides the opportunity to have your publications available complementary, for free, and Apple does not charge any fees to us for this privilege.
If books are published for sale, whether $0.99 or $99.00, Apple retains a 30% flat fee, taken at source. The client and Black Sand Digital then split the revenues 50/50, with Apple making payments to us, and we forward your revenue to you within one week of receiving the funds from Apple.
Please Note: Printing costs are based upon the end product’s size, shape, etc., and the printer’s pricing at that time. International shipping options available. We have a great printing company that we partner with and love their quality and service excellence, or we can work with your own printer of choice!
Images, graphics, videos, etc., are provided by the client; we can supplement with our library of resources wherever possible.
Our Full Service Pricing* Options include the following:
1) A Large Edition (100 - 150 pages): $12,000 - $25,000.
2) A Medium Edition (50 - 100 pages): $8,000 - $15,000.
3) A Small Edition (25 - 50 pages): $5,000 - 10,000.
~ Larger (beyond 150 pages) and Mini (10 - 15 pages) are available as well.
~ Special Savings Packages available for series of services. (E.g., 20% savings for 2 contracted books; 30% for 3; etc.)
2) Editorial and Publishing:
You require editorial services to get your creation to where you want it to be, and therefore, come to us with your book ‘created’ and we help you through editorial and guiding services. We then publish for you to Apple Books and your file ready for printing if you wish.
Our Editorial and Publishing Pricing Options:
The pricing depends upon how much assistance you really need, being somewhere between our Full Service above, and our Publishing Only below.

3) Publishing Only OPTION:
You provide us with a Pages or Word file, ready for publication. We give it one editorial read-through, provide the feedback to you, then publish your final file.
Images, graphics, videos, etc., are in place in your file (versus the Full Service Option where we are creating together).
Our Publishing Only Pricing*:
1) Up to 100 pages - $1,500.
2) 100 - 150 pages - $2,000.
3) 150 - 200 pages - $3,000.
~ Larger and Mini Editions are available as well.
~ Special Savings Packages available for series of services. (E.g., 20% savings for 2 contracted books; 30% for 3; etc.)
~ Additional editorial services are available beyond a one-read-through for the publishing only packages above. Additional pricing determined after initial read-through, dependent upon breadth of editorial services needed.
Editorial and Analyses Services, Digital Mystery Shopping, Consulting:
4) Editorial, Feedback Analysis, Mystery Shopping, Training and Consulting Fee:
As our company and services are based upon a decades long career in hospitality consulting (specialising in learning/training and development and luxury hotel and resort mystery shopping), we offer options for weekly, daily and hourly rates for individual projects such as digital mystery shopping for websites, apps and learning/training programmes.
Weekly: $8,000
Daily: $1,600
Hourly: $200
Special rates are available for longer projects.
Please Note: *
* CDN for Canadian Clients, plus G.S.T.; USD for International Clients, G.S.T. Exempt.
* Payment for Canadian Clients - via Interac, Cheque or PayPal. International Clients: PayPal or Wire Transfers.
* Payments required upon acceptance of the contract once signed, and paid in full in advance of initiating services (larger projects can have two-payments, two-weeks a part).
* We publish eBooks exclusively to Apple Books and its 50+ Bookstores worldwide.
* We publish positive works of excellence (and help you get there), and as such, reserve the right to pass on works that do not meet such standards, or areas of interest beyond our focus. Thank you for understanding.
